Welcome to Ecuador!Engineers Without Borders: UW-Madison Chapter |
COVID-19 UPDATESIn accordance with Dane County health regulations, our EWB UW-Madison Chapter took preventative measures and continued working virtually during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are now holding our weekly meetings in person every Wednesday at 7pm. We have stayed in contact with members of the Manabí, Ecuador community in order to complete deadlines and implement our project remotely. Fortunately, EWB-USA has recently approved travel, and we are planning an implementation trip for the Camarones Water Project in August 2022!
The travel application is now open and can be found here! All members are welcome and encouraged to apply. Submit your completed application to ewbuwecuador@gmail.com by February 4, 2022. |
Richard "Dick" Otis
Part of the Camarones Water Project is supported by donations in memory of Richard “Dick” Otis. Dick first became a mentor to EWB UW-Madison students in 2006 and traveled with students on multiple trips: once to El Salvador and four times to Kenya. He loved the time that he spent with students and was very proud of their work. |
