Our Solution
The goal of this project was to construct a pedestrian bridge so that the students can travel safely on an alternate path from the town to the school instead of walking along the highway. Assessment Trips
In August 2017, EWB members met with town supervisors and leaders to better understand what the community desired from this project. We recorded an inventory of available materials along with results from soil bearing pressure tests, and met with the architect of the original bridge as well as the principal of the school. In August 2019, we took another assessment trip with the Camarones team to Tabuga to reconnect with the community and reassess their provided materials. Project Cancellation
In Fall 2021, this project was cancelled due to a variety of factors. |
